I think this is lovely - very well composed and a great idea.
For me though, the glow around the body slightly weakens the contrast and adds an artificial touch that is not necessary. I gave this a 9 BTW. |

this is amazing, you have really mastered you tonal adjustments. Very dynamic framing. Did you do some dodging and burning?

Thsi shot turned out very well. I suppose it'd have been nice if the line in the concrete weren't there, but that was probably beyond your control. This definately embodies the idea of your title well. The footprints leading up to the subject are perfect, and I like the postprocessing you've done on this shot. It really makes the kid's body stand out from the background with a sort of subtle glow. The crisp shadow is a nice touch as well. It might have been fun to experiment with different crops with the kid partway out of the frame or perhaps overlapping into a boarder, but I've got no complaints about thei crop. Great work. |

nicely done! good job!
edit:
This image gives me the feeling of innocence - not just of a child, but of a free spirit. The shadow and use of sun for light is at the perfect angle, and the composition repeats that. Great leading lines with the footprints taking the eye from the lower left corner to the child at the upper right corner. The perspective used (angle of camera to subject) is perfect to give just the right negative space.
You don't need to see this child's face. She represents all people.
I love this image. Congrats! |

Superb composition and excellent capture of the moment. It really works well in B&W too! I must confess: since the start of the voting process, I've been asking myself how to deal with the children images. I wonder if they belong in a nude challenge. Don't get me wrong here; I KNOW their nudity is shown in a very sweet and innocent way, as children should be shown, in all their splendor and simplicity. And yours is the perfect example of how good a photo of a nude child can be. I just question the validity of this type of shot in the context of a Nude Challenge on DPC, as I don't feel it is a "nude shot" but more a "innocent shild" shot. Regardless, who am I to judge? :-) I give you a 7 for a superb photo. Congrats. |

as a lot of entrees this week have proven. it's not easy to shoot a nude photo. this, while being totally different from what I think it's a "nude", it beautiful! love the composition and the sense of movement. of course the foot prints make the shot. great job. be prepared for a ribbon. : ) |

this is a favorite of mine. The shaddow is so sharp, and those little wet footprints leading in from the edge. |

No matter if this shot wins here or not.........it is fantastic!!!!!!!! I think this is just a great shot. I like every aspect here....the light, the tones, the focus. The only small flaw or disruption--- is the line in the sidewalk at the top. It could be removed with ease. Wonderful work, very good. #1 for me. |

Not what one would think of for a nude but an excellent one, nonetheless!
I love the composition of this - that diagonal leading line of little wet footprints is both "darling" and compositionally/ graphically appealing. I also like the question it raises about where she is marching off to. Her wonderful pose makes for an interesting shadow shape too.
Only minor point -ve point I'd make is that there seem to be some highlights that are a little blown out on her botton, shoulders and back of her legs, though I can see that the natural light was quite strong.
I think this is a lovely lovely entry. |

The footprints and shadows add interest to what I might otherwise have considered a slight cop-out (using a child model). I might have liked to see a bit of her other leg if possible. |

This is a type of photo I like best in this nude thing. This is not sexual in any way so I would say that this should be the winning photo ... but I can't wote :/ |

I really like it, with two exceptions: 1) It looks like you dodged all around the child, giving an odd aura/halo-looking glow (just use a smaller dodge-tool and be a bit more careful, unless that's what you were going for; 2) I'd have tried to shoot it without the line running through her head (the line on the pavement). a solid mat would have been cleaner. I'm being picky - I really like this. 7 |

Great shot. My favorite so far. Babies make by far the best nudes IMO, (and I don't mean this in any kind of sick way :) Great capture. I'm guessing this is ribbon material. |

Great emphasis given to the child (dodging?). The B&W tones are great as well. |

Looks to me like you did some dodging and burning around the kid. Looks like she seems to be glowing which actually might have been your reasoning behind it. |
