| For me, I think this needs a little more work on getting some of the darker areas a little darker.. more black blacks if you know what I mean. The composition isn't bad, but maybe it's cropped a little too close (and slightly too shallow a DOF.) I'm also not liking the color in the corner, which grabs the eye a little too much. |

| Love the focus on the eyes, nice shallow DOF that adds to the photo, the little highlight on the lips is great. IMO the crop is a little to low at the top, not seeing more of the head makes me feel like I am missing something, of course that is only my opinion, and I don't have any idea what you had to work with from the original. Overall well done |

| Focus is pretty good on the left eye, but looks like you'd need a little more depth of field to get the right eye as well. Good expression. |

| It seems that you could have picked just slightly smaller aperture for this one - the DOF seems too shallow as his left cheek & eye are softer than the right side. Lovely crop and nice composition. 7. |
