I gave this an 8. A very good capture and photograph. The eyes 'follow you'. Likely just not discernable at this size yet there in a larger format - but if just a bit more detail, would have made this even better in my opinion. Perhaps also, a little looser crop at the bottom, if you had it to work with, obviously. |

It's eerie how human their eyes and expressions are, eh? Very nice capture, I like the additional texture of the rope, and the detail of his fuzz. |

Some pictures of primates make you feel like you're looking at a human. This one does in a crazy way. It's kinda scary which gets you a 9 -- the rule of thirds is very apprent and working well here . Man that's good. I might have bumped up the black a tad and the title could have been less cliche. But still - I think this should be int he top if it were up to me- he looks like a friend! :) |

Wow. Yeah it's the zoo, and blah blah blah but look at that expression! I'm not sure I've ever seen a more human-like expression on a gorilla before. This seriously looks like a studio portrait. I'm not at all suprised the gorilla MADE this expression, just amazed you caught it at the 1/100th of a second it was there. Fantastic! |
