This would have scored higher in my opinion if the focus was a bit sharper, I find it hard to tell what I am looking at. Corset maybe?

Not sure what I am looking at here and the composition+the shallow DOF makes this very cluttered and irritating to look at, at least for my part. Sorry but I don´t like it, gave it a 3.

Artistic? I see a garter belt and stocking right? This one just doesn't work for me I guess I am one of those literalistic DPC voters.

Nice I like the angle very unique... 10

I can't see what the shot is ... but that makes it interesting.
01/26/2006 06:51:44 AM
I sorry, I don't get this at all.
01/26/2006 02:54:02 AM
interesting
01/23/2006 01:41:45 PM
shallow DOF executed well, I just don't see it helping here.
01/23/2006 12:25:38 PM
It took me quite a while to figure out what this was. Interesting approach!

Ahhhhh what??? b&w dead on, lighting ok I quess, nice texture, dof ok, but what the hell am I looking at? what self portrait? overall a good abstract at best

Sorry, I can't even tell what this is. Looks like a bodice and an out of focus belly button?? Not very much of the photo is in focus, and what little IS in focus, doesn't make sense to me. This must appear different to you, since you were there to see the whole picture. The title doesn't even help, maybe even distracts, since I'm looking for some type of body part, or person. just something down there in the bottom right that looks similar to a belly button. Again, sorry, I really tried. ~Heather~

Seductive and a very interesting POV. Well done.

I like the idea but I think the DoF is a little too shallow, it's hard to make out exactly what this is.
01/21/2006 11:21:18 PM
I presume that it is a leg with suspenders. I am not sure where I am meant to focus my eye. The part that is in focus is a bit chaotic, and the exciting piece (the leg) is out of focus.
01/21/2006 05:36:08 AM
no idea what is happening there but as an abstract composition it is fine and catched the eye for much more than usual few seconds. I suggest a slight crop on the left.
01/21/2006 03:50:11 AM
don't see any self but I like it anyhow
01/20/2006 06:40:49 PM
The limited depth of field denies a good look at what appears to be the interesting part of the subject.
01/20/2006 11:43:26 AM
here it'a really not clear what this is a picture of. Too close. had it been in colour, maybe it it would have bben clearer.
01/20/2006 08:19:47 AM
I'm not quite sure what this is... but, if that's how you see yourself, good for you! I like the black and white. The light and shadow are good too!
01/20/2006 07:23:53 AM
My initial reaction to this was "Huh?". After looking at it a bit I think what I'm seeing is a corset but I can't make out the area beyond that. I wish I could say it was interesting as an abstract study but this just isn't working for me at all.
01/20/2006 04:13:24 AM
Sorry but I really don't get this.

I'm not sure what I am looking at here...

I can't really tell what I am looking at here, sorry.
01/19/2006 02:22:12 PM
Too hard to effectively tell what this is.. The Shallow DOF isn't used very well, IMHO.. and only serves to increase the confusion.
01/19/2006 02:19:27 PM
Very Interesting, it took me a little while to work out what I was looking at. Well done.
01/19/2006 01:43:52 PM
I dont have a clue what this is this.
01/19/2006 08:10:12 AM
??? You've got to be kidding!
01/19/2006 06:01:35 AM
It took several minutes for me to decide what I was looking at. I see now it is a garter belt, thigh and fishnet hose. Your focus and DOF need work. This is much too out of focus to be effective, IMO.
01/17/2006 08:11:29 PM
9 from me...good luck!
01/17/2006 06:09:41 PM
bumped to 8

Interesting as an abstract, and the title probably saved this from the typical gloss over an abstract usually gets here. I think I would like it cropped further from the left so that the small white arch is not included. My eyes, drawn to the brightest points in the photos picked it out, and once knowing it's there, I cannot stop going back to it. Also, above the leg, there's a circular point of light: a lens flare, cloning remnants, a toe or shoe blurred by DOF? I can't tell, but I think cloning it out would add minutely to the image. 7

since I cant make out what is in the image, I really can't comment on it...

Lacks clarity in subject, intent, focus. Title is confusing.
01/15/2006 10:41:26 PM
I can only assume you intend the title of this image to be taken with a grain of salt-
This recalls Bear_Music to me.
