I like this as an abstract, but I think it might have been better with a tighter crop to emphasize the abstract instead of trying to show the surroundings. Also, it would have been better if you had posted it larger.

Too small. Make your pics at least 500 pixels by ?? pixels.

Too small of an image to really be able to judge the quality of the photo. There is a tutorial on DPC to help contestants maximize image size for contest photos.

Too bad this photo is so small... It could have been really interesting.
01/26/2006 09:34:14 AM
This looks like it could be great, but I can't really see anything as the shot is so small. Resizing to 640 would have helped with this.
01/26/2006 12:37:52 AM
This would have been so much better, if it were a bigger viewing size...

The photo has a very bright hot spot on th bottom right that I find to be very distracting. I'm not sure of the weather conditions this was taken in, but if it wasn't an overcast day, you might find that helpful in reducing the brightness, allowing you to take a long shutter without getting a hot spot. JMO.

This is kinda small to judge well. It looks like it might be a nice shot.
01/22/2006 04:33:41 PM
nice shot, but this is pretty small.
01/22/2006 10:22:18 AM
Too small. You really need to utilize the full 640 pixel limit on DPC.

too small

Love the green. The size holds this back from anyone being able to see its potential.
01/19/2006 09:54:15 PM
Too big presentation, smaller please.
01/19/2006 01:41:04 PM
nice color, upsize a little and it would improve another notch.
01/19/2006 04:26:32 AM
This is very pretty. But it is also too small to actually get a good look at it. I like what I do see though.

please read the tutorial for preparing images for challenges. you have no doubt lost a lot of votes due to your image size. as best i can tell, this would have scored a LOT higher if the image had been larger. don't be discouraged, and DON'T QUIT! better luck next time.

10 from me...good luck!
01/18/2006 10:34:42 AM
too small.
01/18/2006 06:37:28 AM
I wish this used the full 640px limit so we could see the full detail.
01/17/2006 09:25:06 PM
The small size of this photo looks like it really does not do it justice. I think it would benefit greatly from using the full 640 pix size allowed. There is a great tutorial in the learn section here on sizing photos for challenges. I'm sure the size here is hindering your score pretty strongly.
01/17/2006 02:32:28 PM
Man I wish this had been bigger...
01/17/2006 09:58:28 AM
Would really like to see this a little bigger so you could see the detail more, but it looks like a great shot.
01/17/2006 06:53:07 AM
Picture really needs to be bigger...
01/17/2006 12:26:41 AM
You will probably gain a full point by using a bigger picture.
01/16/2006 03:50:08 PM
I wish this were larger - it looks like it would be very pretty. (There's a tutorial for sizing images in the help section or you can ask for help in the forums.) Good luck!
