wanted to do a shot with a cd, too. but i failed because they aren't _that_ transparent. yours is much better :-) i especially like the corona like colors around the cd. but maybe you should have turned off your computer screen ;-)

A decent idea, poorly executed. I see what I assume is your thumb holding the CD up. Maybe hang it from the fan with a few strings, or something that's not distracting. |

I'm not sure what that bright light at the bottom of the frame is, bit I find that pulls my attention away from the main part of thie shot. Also the reflection of the monitor in the CDR is distracting. |

I think I'd crop top and bottom to get the finger out. |

Glad you told me that's a ceiling fan. Glare on CD surface is detrimental-draws the eye too much. |

Interesting concept. The reflected camera even worked for me. But the finger on the bottom kind of ruined it for me. |

nice shot, but kinda limited window for the transparency part. I like the colors created on the surface of the CD ROM, but it's hard to see what is going on behind the CD, from the reflections on the front of the CD. (follow me?) Photo 8 Transparency 7 total 7 swash |

Yet another col effect using a CD! On the downside, I notice that the finger showing and the lighting at the bottom are a bit distractive and take away from the symmetry. |

This is neat--I think the fan should be off. I didn't know it was a fan except for the title. |

This is a unique entry this week but.... without the title, I would have no clue as to what i'm looking at with the exception of the CD. The title is explaining this photo to the viewer. Photos should really stand on their own, as stated in the rules of the site. = 4 - jmsetzler |

Not sure the blades on the fan add anything to this picture, as the metallic parts detract from the focus at the center of the CD |

I am fascinated with the refracted ligh of the CD also and have been experimenting with the "great shot " of them. The center always distracts the great colors for me also, if we get that figured out it will be great. |
