Very interesting take on the challenge, however I doubt that this meets the "Prepare 1 or more dishes from a recipe" part of the challenge. |

Most viewers will likely expect recipe images to be delicious looking foods arranged like the pictures you see in a Denny's Restaurant menu. This does not and coupled with poor focus will likely garner it a low score. A ground level perspective that is a closer, shows more of the predator and in better focus would score much better. |

Subject is too centered for my taste. |

Yup, I'm guessing we're all waiting on the recipe for this one! Nice catch. |

Nothing like the gross out factor! LOL |

A tighter crop would have removed the majority of the unwanted landscape. Which sauce did you supply to turn it into a recipe? |

This doesn't fit the challenge, but it's funny. |

I think your concept for this challenge entry is good. Very cool capture to get this hawk and pheasant (I'm a mid-westerner myself originally). I do think that you pushed it a bit to get this in. What I mean is the image is a little blurry and the focal point is too centered. Makes me wonder if this is a tight crop from a larger original, or given the low light situation the shutter speed wasn't high enough?
Still, congrats on being there to get this cool moment in time! Good luck in the challenge. |

Is that another hawk he's eating? Seems out of focus to me. |

This is a bit of a stretch for the "recipe" challenge... but an interesting shot, nonetheless... |

Cannibalism? Extra points for "eww, gross" factor :) |

"Prepare 1 or more dishes from a recipe. Photograph before, during or after and use that as your submission." Maybe a little too "before" for me. |

Thankfully, the image isn't sharp. |

Too brutal for me, but throwing that thought away and judging it like every other photo, I like the concept. Natural, but darn it freaks me out quite a bit. You've captured the mood of the predator very, unbelievably well. The picture itself is very blurry on its own merits. Maybe if you sharpened it a bit and added some saturation to the existing colours it would have stood out very well.
I'd say if you got this picture at a different angle, like at the bird's height rather than from your view, it would have been spectacular. Oh! Also, if placed off centre as well, it would have given it a more intriguing shot. So 5 for this shot. |

Challenge says to prepare a recipe and take a photo before, during or after. I don't see that here. Sure, it is food, but it does not meet the challenge. Did you read the challenge description? I don't think so. It's also out of focus. |

Good idea, have to credit that. Though technical part is lacking. |

Do you have a recipe for this? Needs to be sharper. |
