 This is my favortie of 2005. When I saw the elephant at the museum, I knew exactly how I wanted the final image to look. Some users on DPchallenge (faidoi and bear_music) gave me some great editing tips to get the image to what you see here.

Very nice image. I like your use of shadows to creat a somber expression. Dark background shows off the subject very well. This is among my top picks. That being said I am troubled by the border. To me it is an awkward thickness. It reminds me of a National Geographic border but it would need to be thicker to complete the metaphore. Or it ought to be thinner so as not to over power the photo. The border helps, but it could have helped more.

So wise! I always take alot of shots of elephants when I'm at the zoo. I think they know so much. Great capture. Perfect lighting.

this seems cropped a bit tight. The details on the elephant are pretty good, and I like the way the light is casted down upon this great creature.

Excellent photograph, I love the tones of this photograph. Even with the dark shadows you really show the heart and soul of this giant. "10" from me, good luck!
