what it lacks i do not know,
but i like what is there.

(does not meet the challenge very strongly, i think)

post-challenge: boy, this image was worse received than I expected. (Thank you, Kari, and those others that responded positively.) I guess sometimes I have a very different standard from DPC at large.

Actually, part of the problem is that when I was out shooting, and keeping in mind this challenge, I misremembered the theme: I thought it was "Splash of Color." If that actually were the challenge, I think this would have come across as a much stronger image. Oops!

I like this entry and was surprised that it scored so low overall. I thought it met the challenge quite well was well focused. It was a good try.

The lines and textures really make this shot interesting. So I like how you've vomnposed this to highlight that. The color saturation and focus is nice also
