 This won't fit most folks' definition of backlighting, but I think it's a reasonable contention. It's pure afternoon sun, mostly overhead, but the ball is NOT a silhouette.

this shot is not back lit, however the shot it's self has an average composition manybe if the ball was more to the left of the shot would have worked better. the top of the ball is over exposed, and the colors are not poping for me.
