 This is a few pieces of fruit I had sitting around on the kitchen counter.

I performed a little cloning to hide some flecks, etc. Also performed USM.

I love the imagination and humour. It meets the challenge and the cours are crisp and enticing. I'd be interested after the challenge in hearing what it looked like slightly de-centred.

Nice still life. I like the colors and high-key effect here. IMHO the shot could have had the same impact with a little less negative space. Maybe a tighter shot/more crop to weight the subject heavier in the composition would have added to the shot? Also, the areas of reflection/over-exposure on the fruits gives the lighting a slightly harsh feel. But cloning outside of the challenge can correct that easily. Just my opinion, nice shot nonetheless

The banana surely looks very sick, but without the title I would not have known why this was taken.

That banana looks like it's ready to go in nut bread. The yellows here are so bright they're almost painful. Something about the image keeps it from "popping", but i'm not quite sure what it is.
