 From the "Windows to the Soul" theme
Everything in the shot is desaturated other than the reflected image in the mirror glasses. Flowers are so rare this time of year in wintery Canada. This shot is kind of a tribute to the promise of spring

Challenge
- Relevant to the Challenge? Yes
- Is subject unique (vs. unoriginal or rehashed)? Yes

Compostion
- Good or Bad? How can it be fixed? Nice use of negative space in front of the model. Someone mentioned wanting to see more of the flowers in the left lens. I think this would punch the color more.
- Good use of Depth of Field? Yes. The flowers and face are in focus but her shoulder is a little soft(which it should be).
- Good focus? Yes

Lighting
- Good use of light? Yes, but I'd like to see her face lit a little more.
- Good use of shadows? Yes

Aesthetics/Artistic Appeal:
- Colors and Contrast Great contrast and the flowers are very colorful
- What is my reaction or feelings? The expression looks a little forced or overdone, but the image pulls off being a Burst of Color.

excellent take on the challenge... although the colors are bold and very much the focal point, perhaps a little more care could have been taken with the desat area with more range between the light and dark tones... nonetheless a very good challenge entry and top ten in my opinion... :)

Very cool photo. Such a fun subject and great composition. This is one of the instances where the selective desat works very well. One of my favs in this challenge.... 8

Yeah, we've seen those glasses before! Superb shot, excellent response to the challenge. Perfect crop. The expression on her face (what we can see of it) is priceless. I would like to see greater contrast in the BW portions - I think this would make the image pop a little more, but as is, it's a top 10 for sure.

this is my favourite selective desat shot - my only nit pick would be to have colour in the back lense as in the fg one, but a fun unique entry all the same

One of if not the best in this challenge. Job well done. I have sat here to find a flaw and the only one is just an opinion. I wish the hair was tucked behind the ear. But still a 10.

Fun! I like the emotional burst that mirrors (not pun intended!) the color burst. Wish the right hand side of the photo were either cropped more or less - I find the white triangle of space a the top right distracting and the necklace at the bottom too - but it is minor compared to the clean effective image.
