 I hadn't painted in a while but decided to play some today. When I started painting the red I thought of the burst of color challenge and decided to shoot this. I don't expect it to do too well but decided to enter it anyway. :)

raw adjustment
curve adjustment
slight rotate
burned and softened edges
cloned out some brown on brim and a couple other spots
desaturated outer edges
upped saturation on the painting
sharpened

I think there's something about the composition of this that's awkward and bothering me. Perhaps if you had shot over the shoulder so you didn't have the side of the face and as much arm/torso?
