About 141 of you have seen this one in the "recent additions" in my portfolio (I've removed it from there for the challenge). This version has a couple more edits that make it sit a bit better with me. You might recognize her from other challenge photo(s); she's a friend of mine I frequently shoot with. It has been a great learning tool shooting with her, as well as refining Photoshop skills. Perhaps my favorite shot of the day. I have to frequently ask her to look away from the camera. Lit on two sides by cheap, 500 watt, Home Depot, halogen work lamps reflected plus an open door to the right providing the whiter light on the model. I pushed the saturation and contrast up a little with adjustment layers, general touch-up in the skin, slight burning to bring out the eyes, lips, and bust, lens blur layer masked to leave the model crisp while reducing the impact of the background.

This has been photographed really well, and is pleasing to the eye.....

Very nice natural lighting. (or good use of flash to make it look that way.. in fact I think I can see two catchlights in her right eye..so now I am guessing flash)

There looks to be a small amount of camera shake in this photo.. noticeable especially near the edges and in her clothing. Lighting is unflattering, and the use of smoothing has kind of enhanced the "shake" feeling.

I think this would be better if she was looking into the frame, but nice shot all the same.

Nice capture, but would have liked the backdrop to come to the edge of the image

Engaging and interesting portrait. I like the context and find the image engaging, though perhaps just a bit dramatized. Nice work. 7
