| this is a lovely shot, but i'm afraid i'm going to have to pass on voting on it. technically, it is more side-lit than backlit. if it were truly backlit, you'd see evidence of the lighting coming around from the right side of the head, as well. it is too beautiful an image to slam it with a DNMC vote, but, by the same token, i don't think it's fair to the others to score it high. so, at least for now, i'll leave this comment without a vote... |

| I would have cropped much tighter, so the lighter bit behind the head doesn't show at least but probably also loose the ear to totally focu attention on that gorgeous face. |

| Just a little better focus. I know with low light it's hard to get them to be still. |
