The bird is not very clear in the picture... Seems to be somewhat hazy and not focussed.

Very interesting bird. It really 'pops' from the earthy background. The branch in the foreground also gives this a more natural/candid feel.

I know there's nothing you can do about it, but all the branches are really distracting. The bird looks slightly over saturated, as if you were trying to compensate for the tree.

A bit too vibrant for me, but it does evoke "burst of color" feelings. dof is good, IMO, lighting is maybe 1/3 stop over exposd, but then I guess it would be hard to get the detail on the tree then . Tough shot here, I like what you did.

Although your subject does stand out I find the bg very very busy and the large fg branch not very compositionally pleasing, the face of the bird is hard to make out and the light looks very harsh
