I like the composition and the message of this. There's something, though, that I can't quite put my finger on that doesn't feel right. It might be that the background tone is not different enough from the left side of her belly, so it doesn't stand out quite as much as I would like. Still a wonderful image, though. |

I am sorry for this likely has a great meaning for you personally, but I am tired of seeing pregnancy photos as much as I am tired of seeing pets dressed up with clothes on. :( The lighting and composition is fine though, just a tired subject. |

Very nice, conveys feeling very well. I would have treid to get the wall on the left completely out of focus. All this imo, obviously. Good luck! |

Nice lighting and B&W work here. I love the light fall-off. Focus is a little soft though. |

A touching image, but the background is too similar to the texture and tone of the belly. Good B&W treatment. |

The same rule for shooting nudes applies for maternity shots: have your model undress at least 30' before the session (s/he can wear a bathrobe or anything that will not leave the marks on the skin). That way you will not end up with these unwanted and distracting marks on the belly.
That said, my wife has been in this stage twice, and I think that I'd pass on asking her to do something like that, and I'd be happy with even 10 min of her time altogether.
Good luck! |

Nice intimate photo. Good lighting, subject, and crop. Only distraction for me is that her stomach appears to have lines from her pants still showing. Nice photo overall. |

Congratulations...only thing that distracts are what appear to be clothing marks on her beautiful belly...love the positioning of the hands and the intertwining of fingers...lighting is also very good. A great shot to frame, well done |

Its the 17th, what did you have? Like the shadows but lighting a bit harsh. Good luck (with the baby). |

Very sweet. I like the interlacing of the fingers the shadows and highlights. The only distraction is the impression of the ribbing from her pants that is left on her stomach. Maybe would have smoothed that out a bit. |

The octopus woman awaits her delivery.
Beautiful image that will be cherished for years to come. A loving couple, holding their unborn child. The black and white composition adds to the image so nicely. And congratulations to the new parents!! |

A somewhat of a cliche shot, but for very good reason. What a great image to have to look back on. A beautiful first page for the baby book. :)
I think the lighting is excellent here. I love the shading that emphasizes the fullness of her shape. My criticism would be the appearence of the elastic marks from her clothing. (I assume thats what all those little vertical lines are anyway...) She should have worn a robe for an hour or two before posing for this so those would have time to fade.
Otherwise, it's very beautiful and emotional. |

Sweet. It would ahve been better if we didn't see her stretchy pants lines. |

I would have liked to see a black background - this white thing with texture is a bit annoying. Good lighting and pose. |

Beautiful image, very well lit. The BW conversion is very nice as well. Tiny nit-pick: I can see the impression from her waistband on her skin. Changing into a robe or wearing pants with the low waistband an hour or so before shooting can prevent that. Still, very nicely composed.
ETA - CONGRATULATIONS! |
