A bit too soft on the focus. The eyes, especially, should be very well focused.

It's too bad but this picture is out of focus, and it does not bring anything to the overall effect.
01/29/2006 11:49:48 AM
Focus off.
01/29/2006 03:14:05 AM
the focus is a little too soft but otherwise a fine image

Good subject and crop, but the photo is blurry and hard on the eyes.

Your image is blurry and unsharp, the skin tones are much too red. The pose is not very intresting. 2.

Focus!
01/26/2006 09:34:36 AM
This shot is out of focus.
01/26/2006 06:45:59 AM
Not quite sharp enough with the focus...
01/24/2006 03:24:14 PM
off focus. :(

Looks like an interesting subject. I really wish this was in focus, had better lighting/contrast and less cluttered background. BoL

out of focus and has poor coloring.
01/22/2006 12:16:19 PM
Nothing in this picture is in focus.
01/22/2006 09:53:45 AM
Photo is blur.low light and unnatural skin colors ! 1

I find the lack of focus to be really distracting. Sorry. JMO.

This picture is very soft and out of focus. And there is the problem of the 'something' sticking out of his head that plagues a lot of spontaneous portrait pictures.
01/20/2006 07:07:47 PM
A leeetle fuzzy on the focus...
01/20/2006 05:27:18 PM
An out of focus self portrait at arm's length? That's what it looks like to me.
01/20/2006 11:46:07 AM
Humm, this a simple portrait photo that isn't even in focus. you will have a hard time competing with the "the BEST of 2005"
01/20/2006 09:04:02 AM
:-)
01/20/2006 06:54:17 AM
For a candid/portrait pix this could of been good, but since the focus is way too soft I can not give this a high score.

A little too soft for me.
01/20/2006 02:08:04 AM
If this is your best during an entire year, I'm really really sorry.
01/19/2006 04:39:23 PM
ummm, blurry?????????
01/19/2006 04:17:06 PM
Out of focus
01/19/2006 04:03:43 PM
For a Best of challenge, this is too blurry as you've probably already read from other folks. 4
01/19/2006 03:57:46 PM
good expression and character in the portrait, but focus is too soft and color balance is off
01/19/2006 06:10:48 AM
Would be a good picture if it were not completely out of focus...
01/18/2006 05:31:57 AM
I think that it could be a nice portrait, however it seems as though nothing in the shot is in focus and I don't really see a reason why this should be the case in this photo. I also think B&W would have suited this well, with high contrast.

ahhh yes, the brownie. Do I really need to post what's wrong with this picture? 1
01/16/2006 11:03:21 AM
too blurry...possibly too slow shutter speed. :)

Out of the whole year, you didn't have a shot in focus...?
01/16/2006 12:06:19 AM
In motion, backround distracting - this picture needs something to stand out, too much like a snapshot.

01/15/2006 11:38:02 PM
Well, it could have been good if would have been in focus.
01/15/2006 10:10:46 PM
The focus is slightly off, but good framing, 5/10
