Well, I muttled over ideas for this for a while, until I ended up with this. The makeup was sorta sloppy, and the lighting conditions were bad, so I did a lot of editing. Infact I couldn't recall every step if my life depended on it. So basically I...did a lot of cloning...um..lots of color/saturation enhancements, especially on makeup and my eyes...and...um..ya, other stuff ;-)
I think my face seems a little out of proportion, among other irritations, but I guess I am out of practice, lol. In the end, I am pleased with it.

I think it might have been better with the eyes a bit lower in the frame, but this is still a very captivating image. I bet you have to beat the boys off with a stick! :D

You're talented and pretty.
Damn you.
Lol.
Your hair looks very multi-colored. Is it really like that or did you ps it for the challenge?

How are you the same girl as in dots & lines? I never read your comments on that one, and assumed it was a model. You are MOST VERSITILE! For you and your portraits, I think it IS "All in the Eyes". They make you look so very different in each picture you take.

Self portrait, huh? Great photographer and great model. Take your time next time. I can't see why you shouldn't be able to do straight shots on these self portraits without the enhancements. You know how hard it is to find models like you?

Hello annah! So sad are your eyes :) Love the simplicity of your image.

Very nicely composed image, nice soft tones and dead on focus.

excellent tyake on the challenge. The eyes are very expressive and the background tones are subdued enought to really make this entry work... :)

She's lovely... though I would prefer more consistent background

curiously the lips seem to draw me more than the eyes, which is a shame

Wonderful photo! Fantastic interpretation and answer to this challenge! The contrasts between her eyes and the earthy color palette create such a nice 'burst' of color. But do so in a subtle, less literal way than the rest of the entries have. The texture contrasts you've captured really add to the shot as well. Love the composition, focus, and subjects facial expression.... I'm voting 9 and adding to faves :)

The eye color is strong, but appears to fight the her lushious lips. Shame, as if is a good image.....

Not big on the make-up the background or the upped saturation, but I like the model and the expression. Good shot.

Wonderful make-up job, and lovely refelctions in your eyes. I like how the line of wood in the background intersects the line on the eyes - and all right about on the thirds line - a nice composition. I wish you had not cropped the top of your head so much - crop the bottom a bit more and include more of the top of the frame would work better IMO. But this is another great shot - well prepared, well lit, well thought out.

Very cool. I like her positioning in the shot. NOt crazy about the wood slats behind her, but they sort of mimic her strands of hair as they fall down over her shoulders. Imaginative and very artsy!!!
