| Holy cow, this is good. I'd given it a 9 in the challenge, but somehow didn't comment. The moon, Venus and the other lights of the night are fab. |

Thanks for the votes. This is the highest I've made it so far. Still, no ribbon. Sigh.
There were comments about the horizon a bit askew. It's not, actually. Land was a bit higher on the right. If I straightened the photo horizon on the land, then the horizontal lines of the sky would be the next thing many would notice askew. Now if only this wasn't a Basic Editing competition...
Yes, the lights were overblown. I guess that's the aesthetic license I exercised. I like the way the city "burns" with life. The "hottest" parts are actually the night spots.
The moon is actually young, not a full moon. But the long time exposure brought forth the shadowed part. Accidental effect but I like it.
Taken from my backyard (yes, I'm lucky to have this almost every night) in Antipolo. The city is Metro-Manila, Philippines. |

| Spetacular panoramic nightshot! The landscape is quite overexposed, in my opinion. But this is a basic challenge and there's little you could do in that department. Great job overall, anyway. :) |

| Beautiful sky. Amazing how you caught the moon and clouds and sky like this. Only complaint is that it's a tiny bit noisy in the sky and a little soft focus-wise perhaps. But still a very pretty picture. |

| What an angle!!! Maybe just a tad overexposed though. The buildings would have had a little bit more detail without losing too much sky color with a little shorter shutter time. Good job! |

| Wow, this one is in the hunt for a ribbon. Nicely done. One of my favorites so far in this challenge. The highlights are a little much, but you probably needed the exposure time to pick up the darker sky, so well done. Nice going. |
