Nice composition and use of natural framing. It's not quite as sharp as I would like it, though. Perhaps because of having to use a longer shutter speed to compensate for the dark lighting. Also, a tighter crop might have helped a little bit. This framing leaves me wondering a little whether this is a landscape with some ducks in it, or a photo of ducks in their surroundings. It is kind of caught in between the two. |

Gave this a rather low score the first round, it is a pleasant enough photo, the sky, birds on the pond, silhouette of trees but it still needs that little wow factor we are all so looking for, bumping up a notch |

Slightly soft, but a nice scene you captured here. |

The tree in the foreground I don't like, (or the mound of earth it is on. Focus seems really soft too. |

nice image but could be better.. you have the horizon on dead center, try moving it up or down a bit..
and that tree... either keep the whole tree or loose it.
and the image is too dark.. it lacks some details..
if this wasn't the "best of 2005" I would have scored this higher, but this is supposed to be your BEST shot, and I really think you can do better than this. |
