I was thinking this would get at least top 50. The background threw it a bit for me, bringing it down to a 9. I got a bit of astro-turf feel from it, rather than a classy satin or velvet.

She is lovely and in spite of the somewhat artificial look, I love that eye!

The hair is well done too.

I thought I would see this stunning image in top twenty... at least. Unique angle and very artistic editing. Adorable work.

Not normally a fan of selective desat but this is perfect. Great composition and I love the background.
01/26/2006 05:39:48 PM
Interesting shot, but the enhancement in the eye doesn't work for me. 6.
01/26/2006 06:51:29 AM
Wow, I love how you have taken this.....Great image, very well done.....
01/26/2006 06:22:20 AM
nice job, b&w need work, great texture, nice color, minimalistic, comp interesting, angle interesting, light flat, overall a strong contendor
01/25/2006 07:10:56 PM
I really like this. The stong off-centre view makes for an interesting composition. The selective desat. does a really god job to attract the eye to her face. Not sure if this would have been as good without the slective desat. Good work.

Blue Eyes is going to fight it out with Red Pumps. Simply great. 9 Here. BOL

I take it that is grass she is laying in?!
Simply thinking out loud: I was, and am, bothered by the texture. I am guessing it is meant to offset the soft skin?

Very nice shot and composition
01/22/2006 12:13:29 PM
This is a really nice shot. I think I'll raise it from and 8 to a 9.

nice compo. the blue in the eyes is a little too much, but I like the rest ;)
01/21/2006 12:07:22 PM
great portrait, just a perfect setup.

hope to see more of that model in your portfolio.
01/21/2006 10:04:52 AM
Stunning. From composition to processing, it's perfect.
01/21/2006 09:07:39 AM
good use of selective desaturation
01/20/2006 12:17:27 PM
Sorry but I have to say that I STRONGLY dislike the eyes, they don´t even remind me of eyes anymore but like someone put tiny little CD´s over her irises. I still gave this a 6 as the composition and rest of the shot are pretty good.
01/20/2006 11:27:54 AM
Good choice to enter ;)
01/20/2006 04:59:09 AM
This is very nice! My only nit-pick would be that her whites seem too grayish, like there might have been a touch of bloodshot. The blue is very vivid and bright....not natural color but really pops!
01/19/2006 08:43:26 PM
Nice post-processing on a great capture
01/19/2006 06:57:42 AM
I would have liked to seen more of her pretty face in the picture. Love the blue eyes.
01/19/2006 12:56:36 AM
I love the eyes and the fact we can't see the whole face. Really nice work! The high contrast works brilliantly too :)
01/18/2006 07:08:09 PM
10 from me...good luck!
01/18/2006 04:04:04 PM
Eyes are just a *little* too hyper-realistic for my tastes. Even with contacts, that's just too metallic. It's a nice unique portrait though, and good B&W conversion.
01/18/2006 11:59:45 AM
I stopped longer at this photo than for most of the others, It took me a while to make up my mind what I really think of it, then it must be interesting I think. Yes, I really like it, maybe you should have had the eyes more blue, not cyan, but otherwise this is interesting and creative, well done!
01/17/2006 03:56:32 PM
Great!!! 9
01/17/2006 02:21:41 PM
nicely composed
01/17/2006 08:21:41 AM
The hair creates some interesting lines. Good job. The eyes are a nice job of selective desaturation without overdoing it.
01/17/2006 06:10:51 AM
A bold move. Very artistic. Love the shade of blue you chose. Wow. 10.
01/16/2006 06:45:28 PM
Interesting compostion. If it were me I'd boost the contrast and brightness just a bit.
01/16/2006 12:37:04 PM
I wish I could see more of her face...
01/16/2006 06:12:45 AM
This is great!
