I would have liked to have seen a slightly tighter crop to fully drag the focus on the lilly.

Focus seems slightly off

Nice photo, however IMO the lily really should be in sharper focus, also the slight glare on the back petals detracts from the picture. Maybe a little more zoom or a slightly higher angle would have helped with that, of course this is only my opinion. Good luck

The flower is too centred in the photo for my liking. I would have prefered a more off-centred composiion. JMO.

Needs a bit more DOF to ensure the entire image is sharp - but beautiful eye-catching piece.

I don't think the centered composition really works here. Maybe a closer crop using the rule of thirds woul dimprove the photo a bit?

I don't know if it was the time of day that is to be avoided or if it is the angle but there is a fair amount of reflective glare/sheen (not blatent but nonetheless it is there. The waterlilly is indeed very lovely but because the water is reflecting back more light that rich lovely hue of purple liliac color is a tad washed out. Changing the angle by kneeling down rather that a looking down shot would change the reflective quality of the light bouncing off the water. It could yield the result of getting a richer deeper color in the waterlilly and lillypads, not to mention give the surface of the water a more smooth mirrorlike effect. All these elements would help improve the image. That said it is a good shot but a change in angle (or even closing down the aperature setting for less light) would make the colors richer and water less reflective.

pretty image but the impact is lessened by centered composition (and I love centered composition). Cropping the bottom 1/4 would have lightened the image (all that dark) and would strengthen the flower.

wish this wasn't so centered
