Good composition excellent layout, good subject, and color balance fits the challenge well. Do no get discouraged the cannon A 400 that you are using is capable of great shots. What it looks like happened, with this great shot was the resolution was set in the camera was on the low side and when you cropped photo it pixelated causing what you see here. Try shooting at 1600 x 1200 the upper range of your camera. This may mean less pictures on your memory card however, it will allow you to crop closer with out the pixelation. |

Horrendous image quality.. looks like it's been resized from 320 to 640. Would have gotten a much higher score from me if the image quality had been good. |

Interesting subject. I think focusing in on the woman would have been the best composition. Something is going on though with your camera or processing--it's too pixelated. Could it be an extreme crop, or perhaps too much jpeg compression. Post in the forums if you need help after the challenge. |

i guess it might not be very appropriate to assume that the man on the left is "rich". The composition could be improved upon as well. |

poor resolution hurts this shot. i don't see which in this you would consider "rich" and which you would consider "poor." |

Theres quite alot of technically bad qualities and I cant see much of a photographic or artistical idea behind it. With well-thought cropping I would assume this would get better grade from me. |

Why does it look all "pixely"? Also, it's a pretty good idea, but the "rich" doesn't look terribly rich (unless you were trying to say that), and his positioning, at the very edge of the left side of the frame, is simply awkward. |

I love the idea of showing the contrast between rich & poor-- definitely a common occurance in city life. However, the blockiness of the image distracts from the subject. |

Really digitized. The pixels seem to be too large for this image. Maybe when you were saving it, you put the resolution to low. Try a resolution of atleast display value, which is 96. Might make the detail come closer together. |

This picture is highly pixilated, which will unfortunately bring low scores. Try using more pixles if possible (not sure if this was cropped out from a larger picture). There is also a good tutorial here for resizing pictures for the web that may also help. |

It´s always distracting to see a person looking out of an image..you´ve also compressed the photo too much, it´s very pixellated this way. Wonder if the woman alone wouldn´t have just made this much better. |

I won't be one of the 10000 DPCers who is telling you that the shot is pixelated. I figure you know that by now.;)
I have a feeling of title/image disconnect here. It's hard for me to obviously see Rich/Poor at the first look. Now with deeper reflection, I can see a little more dichotomy. Who's rich and who's poor. That is the question. |
