Your photo is underexposed, and somehow the light that you did use is casting a harsh shadow. Fix these two and you will have a much nicer shot. |

Good idea, but try and get rid of the shadow - Get some more contrast and try and do away with the edge of the table or whatever the candle is standing on. |

Interesting shaped candle holder. For me, this would be more interesting if you focused in closer, or maybe different lighting, or added another element or two to your still life. |

The focus and lighting have beaten you here. The shadow, instead of being a feature is a little distracting. To avoid that, the more you pull the candlestick away from the wall, the more out of focus it becomes |

very nice, my only suggestions are that the focuse could have been sharper and the cloth the candle stick is sitting on is too creased and creates too many shadows |
