 Spotted Turtledove and 'child'

pp; selectively sharpened/softened, cloned out 2 small areas, selective desat on leaves, crop & rotate, burned a little around eye

focal length: 29mm

Post Challenge
The one on the right is the 'baby' - look at the tailfeathers and beak.

Quality was poor but 'submitted anyway'. Too reluctant to totally clone out the leaves in the foreground due to 'major element', which in my opinion, it is.

i think this shot would be a lot stronger without the leaf in the way. its a wonderful idea and great composition (without the leaf). could use a little more color saturation, or perhaps make is a black and white shot.

Hope I am not being too rude saying this - but I find it amazing that you have so much to say (criticise) on other peoples photos. How come you dont put it into practice on your own photos?

I am not quite getting the mother theme with this, but I love bird shots, so voting based on that.

Had the lighting been stronger on the brids themselves and the foreground leaves not there, I would have scored this better.
