Nice juxtaposition. I'd like to have seen more of the police car though--it seems a bit extreme in crop. |

I see the city life in the photo so you conveyed the feeling well. I don't care for the police car cut in half like this though. |

Contrast could help this a lot, blacks black and whites white. |

great shot, the police car in foreground really reinforces the seedy side of city life as does the Hustler Club. B&W gives it an old time feel.....8 |

I'd actually have liked to see some selective color on this shot, but it succeeds in B&W, as well. |

Interesting but a little confined in perspective; seems also to cry out for the addition of people in the picture |

I love the subject. The police car is a bit distracting. Is this Baltimore? |

A really nice "people-less" candid...the B & W is so nice. |

Challenge
- Relevant to the Challenge? Yes
- Is subject unique (vs. unoriginal or rehashed)? Yes
Compostion
- Good or Bad? How can it be fixed? I might take a bit off the left side, just before you hit the P in Police. Nothing there that adds to the image.
- Is there anything missing? My eye wants to see more of the sign on the right side.
- Good use of Depth of Field? Yes
Lighting
- Good use of light? Yes
- Are there any over-blown highlights? No
- Good use of shadows? Yes
- Are there any overly dark shadows? No
Aesthetics/Artistic Appeal:
- What is my reaction or feelings? Although there are no people (read as life) the image give a sense of expectation. There will be activity later. It's safe for your wives, daughters, and sisters now, but it'll be dark soon...

Black & White = correct choice for this subject. Maybe showing _more_ of the police car would have made it even better? |
