I am my little girl's "PaPa"-razzi because I often point my camera in her direction, but it's necessary for just this kind of pay-off!
The photo itself is relatively untouched (for me.)I used Broderbund Print Shop (Version 20) Area Effect Oval to cameo my little JOY & her reflection, then I inverted the area to affect everything outside the oval. Watercolor filter once & Oil Painting filter twice both blurred the distractions & added that "Photography as ART work" feel that I love so much!

Cute pic, but I'll be you're getting hammered on the actual size of it. Depending on what photo editing software you're using PM me and I might be able to show you how to re-size the image for better DPC viewing.

Good luck and keep shooting!

Cute child; sweet memory. Unfortunately you have some vignetting at the corners for some reason, and the image is too small to really POP. This'll be a precious photo for years to come in the little girl's family. :)

The photo is so small... :( Next time use the full 640 pixels... It is a really cute shot.

This looks like it could be great, but I can't really see anything as the shot is so small. Resizing to 640 would have helped with this.

I love this. and wish it were so much bigger in size, to be able to see it better...

Charming but too small for us to really see. Also the background is quite busy and distracts us from your main subject. Great timing on the shot. I love the expression you've captured.

Way to small. Can't really judge, sorry.

Cute child.

However, photo size is way too small to even determine if it's in focus. Photo is not a bad snapshot - bit too cluttered for my taste (items on sink, etc detract).

You really need to utilize the full 640 pixel limit on this site to do well. No matter what your subject or how great a photo, people just do not tolerate small image size entries here.

Nice capture, fantastic expression, such joy...however the image is too small to really be able to see the details. Usually if an image is much smaller then the maximum allowed they receive lower scores, Images are supposed to be "No larger than 150 KB (153,600 bytes).
Dimension: No dimension may be shorter than 160 pixels or longer than 640 pixels." Your image is only 25,005 bytes and 213 x 295 pixels. If you are receiving low scores that is probably why. Good luck

A priceless family moment captured. Perhaps the picture is a little on the small side.

This looks like it could be a sweet shot, but I can't fairly judge this image in its present size. Please try to make your images bigger for future challenges. Sorry.

I think that this would be more effective if the yellow cast was removed and if it was a little larger.

please read the tutorial for preparing images for challenges. you have no doubt lost a lot of votes due to your image size. as best i can tell, this would have scored a LOT higher if the image had been larger. don't be discouraged, and DON'T QUIT! better luck next time.

I really think you should have used the full 640px size so we can see more detail in the photo.

This is a very good image, but why so small? I think that in the proper 640 size you would have done so much better!

There's a lot of potential, here. It's pretty small, but looks really cute. The clutter takes away from it, IMO.

It is very hard to properly evaluate this image as it is so small. Wish you had sized it larger as I would have loved to give you some detailed comments.
From what I can see, there is some vignetting in the corners - not sure if it is intentional or not but I would have cropped it off. The lighting seems to be giving an odd color cast overall. As for focus, from what I can see, it looks to be fine. The little girl sure is having fun. Also, would have removed the clutter from the counter as it distract from the subject.

Cute snapshot. I think you should have filled the frame with her, and cleared off the bottles. The black of the doorway is also somewhat distracting. Also, try to resize to 640 on the longest side.
