 This was taken on a bright sunny day. A family of swans were swimming and preening on the river. I was taken by the fantastic reflections of the flowers growing on the far bank of the river. It's handheld at 300mm and 1/200sec, once again the power of IS assists to make a shot possible.

Once I got this back I was stunned by the colours. I gave them a little saturation boost, levels and some sharpening.

For your title, the color in this shot is a little lacking. I can see what you were getting at, but the colors don't pop.. and are rather flat for the most part. Lighting is harsh, and the blown out areas on the bird are unflattering.

The colours are very impressionistic, almost like a Monet painting! Nice work.
