 I don't really expect this to do well, but this photo has a lot of personal meaning to me.

My wife surprised me Christmas morning with a "positive" pregnancy test that she had taken just that morning. This will be our first (assuming everying progresses smoothly -- I don't want to jinx anything), so needless to say I was extremely happy with this surprise!

This photo is actually of a second test that she took the next day -- we just wanted to be sure. I chose to shoot this one because of the + sign -- the other one was a different brand and had a less obvious indication.

Processing:
Raw to JPEG
Curves
Cloned out a few spots
Selective Gaussian Blur on the right side of the stick
Burned the + sign area a little
Selective sharpening on the + sign area
Changed the hue on yellow to get the purplish background
Resize

I don't really care how I do on this entry -- I just hope everything goes well in the real world! Wish us luck!

Focus is off (even on the + sign) ...Backgroud probably should have been blended out more

Colours are nice. A greater DOF would improve it an maybe a little more sharpness too.
