I changed my vote on this 3 times (7 in the end). If the challenge had been 'Twist my gut", it would have fared much better.

This is quite surreal. I love what you've done with the lighting and the colours/tones. I really wish there was more 'mother' in the shot itself, without the title having to speak for it. But I love it anyway.

I used to say this very thing. Strange photo, but I like it.

I don't like how the lighting has made her arms look. It's a cute expression though. 5

Back for comments. A very nice portrait with a moving/emotional concept but unfortunately I think voters will be wanting to see a mother/child relationship but still very well done. Just not for this challenge.

Composition is ok. The choice of subject matter is ok. The image quality is ok. Could have been a little more creative. - 5

nice photo, good facial expression, a little over the border on digital editing.

The challenge is "Mother". This is not a mother. Your only vague connection is in the title.

Very moving image!

As a rule, I vote higher on photos that at least partially get the message across without the title. This is a cute portrait of a little girl -- definitely a keeper.
