Greetings from the Critique club. First off I have to say you met the challenge great. And while its a difficult shot to get you were able to capture it, albeit with some flaws. I really like it for the challenge. Now on to what we can do to make it better.

Focus is off a bit. Not near as sharp as is required for Ribbon winning shots. Crop is good, follows rules of 1/3rds pretty well. I might have used a faster shutter speed for less blur of the moving wings, not sure if you had CAF on but if not that would have helped, and also during Post Processing, bumped the contrast to make it stand out. The background is a bit busy, but you cant really pose an Eagle however a different vantage point may have been possible. Overall I think the photo scored about where it should have considering the challenge and the small issues with the photo. Good job and keep shooting.

Good photo, I would crop it tighter on the eagle and up the contrast a bit.

I wonder if a faster shutter speed would have produced a sharper image? If so, I think this would be all the better an image. Still impressive to have captured the wings as you did.

I loved the whole idea of the photo, but it did come out a bit blurry. Hard to get action quickly.

Good timing on snapping this one... just a tad out of focus, but the eagle's wing position is great with the outstretched feathers.

Super image! The branches in the background are a little distracting though.

Too bad the focus isn't there. I understand that these are rare captures though, so nice try and nice capture!
