This is stunning; robotic, hyper futuristic. The handds in the front ruin it for me. pehaps gloves? there is just too much glare on the fingers, and the nails are small and the skin is off colored by the exposure; altogether, nice effort.

6 - Unusual. Very good DOF and fairly good sharpness on the needle/thread. Criticism; as unusual as the eyes are used in this way, in my opinion, the 'effect' of them, dominates too much, if that makes sense, especially in this 'context'/composition/'subject'. Difficult to explain - just a little 'weird' with the eyes, no 'offence' intended either, just honest. Perhaps, if using the 'threading a needle' theme, just a slightly more 'side on' angle, may have been better but not sure, as obviously this captures the 'focus' (no pun intended) of trying to thread a needle so not sure. Maybe if they were 'squinting' a little, who knows. Good capture, just unusual. If original, well done. If the focus were as sharp on the thread going into the needle as it appears to be on the pads/skin of the fingers, also make this even better in my opinion. Up to 6 from 5, mainly for the 'unique factor'.

The effect really makes those eyes look freaky. Sort of like little CDs.

great shot of sheer concentration. The eyes look focussed and almost spooky. Use of flash spoils this shot in my opinion

How great! I was shooting something similar with my mom and it was a nightmare to catch her fingers, nevermind this mad look in the eyes! I would suggest only turning the needle a bit to see the eye of it.

Wow, the bokeh on the eyes gives a very trippy effect. :-)

Cool idea. I would have liked a little more focus on the eyes. For me, the eyes sort of come out creepy looking rather than the frustration of another lost button. JMO

Technically, I guess your point is clear. However, I find this photograph to be un-esthetic... Maybe its the eyes in the background, a larger framing showing more of the hands could possibly gave a better balance to this composition. Good try... 5
