As I look at you photograph is has a nice broken look to it but your main subject is not in focus enough to to put it over the top. It also seems to be a bit dark and the lighting seem to be to soft on the main subject.

You were very close here. If the focus would of been sharp on your subject and the lighting a little better you would have a great photograph. your composition is good and I like the black on the left.

Keep shooting and I wish you the best in future challenges.

DOF is pretty deep for this subject. Since the background is so dark, it is hard to tell what the exact DOF is...
