this is amazing! when i first looked at it i thought it was matches and was like omg how'd she get them to stand up like that!
but even a hairbrush is an awesome use of an everyday thing! |

i really like this one, from the thumbnail view i could have sworn they were like flares or something, i thought the blurred part was a trail of colored smoke. Nicely done. |

The "'R E D' got you a 'red'" thing's been done...nevertheless, try entitling your next entry "blue"; you may be on to somthing here ΓΆ€” 8-D. Congratulations. |

7 - Very good, especially to highlight the 'depth'. Criticism; not much to be done in basic to the dust spot(?) and few other minor 'marks', really only the lighting 'reflections' detract in this, but only slightly in my opinion, as well as perhaps a touch more attention to 'symmetry'. Difficult, but sharper on the very fore 'prongs' would also have made this even better in my opinion. Not sure on the frame. Good strong color and idea, assuming this is a hairbrush. Up to 7 from 6, mainly for the very good DOF. edit:typo

This may be the best in show in my opinion. You have used DOF superbly to highlight a subject, and the soft part of the photo as it receeds gives a powerful sense of motion which is completely an illusion. I love that it tricked me into seeing something that wasn't there and then redeemed the trick when I realized my mistake. Hope it ribbons! |

excellent use of dof. elements of design too; color, pattern, line, form. with one exception, the forground has a few distractions: the focal blur in the lower left and some dust specs left of bottom center. 8 |

I really love this! It's incredibly calming and yet exciting because it's kind of exotic. I bet you're dying to spot edit the wee white pixel out but I appreciate you can't do that within basic editing rules and it's not a big deal. 10! |

Nicely done. I like the leading lines created by the blurring lines of the brush. Too bad this is a basic editing challenge or you could clone out the spot on the left. Overall, I think you've done well for this challenge. |
