Okay, if you didn't laugh, you have NO sense of humor and really need to go find a rock to live under. This picture is funny.
Just kidding, to each his own, obviously.
Cloned out some crumbs, adjusted some saturations in the knife blade, and made the handle a bit darker. Cloned out a two lines on the background and a spot. Maybe usm, but I don't remember if I ketp that or not.
The loaves are little loaves of cornbread. I would have put them all in a line, but the bottom middle one was a bit squashed in the back. The top one kept falling after cutting, so I had to put a sucker stick in it to make it stick (no tooth picks). I took exactly 1 bracketed shot, and the whole thing came crumbling down. Literally.
I really, really like this shot -- it actually turned otu better than I expected. I have thought about it all week, and if it scores less than a 5, I will truly be disappointed.
My other idea was --
The Lime, the Stitch, and the Word Go. |

Greetings from the Critique Club
Nope. I didn't laugh. First I cringed, then I laughed. Good puns make me do that. Besides, I like cornbread - a lot, and this shot made me drool.
I like the composition. A nice diagonal in the frame in this case, works well to keep the viewer interested. Color is good and all is in good focus (if you'd been able to get the crumb in the cut cornbread in really sharp focus it would have been spectacular).
While there is a lot of white grounding being used in the Challenges these days, I personally find it a little unsettling in this case. The substantial cornbread seems to cry out for a good foundation. Perhaps a wooden cutting board, for example.
In any event, you scored quite well on this entry, the pun is terrific and you obviously had fun doing it.
What more can we ask of an entry!

I laughed. Loudly. You probably didn't hear it though.
Too bad you didn't have a cleaver. I immediately stopped laughing as soon as I saw that. Actually, that's a lie. I didn't really care, given the context ;)
This definitely works better than the Lying Snitch and the Poor Strobe or whatever other variant. |

Wow. Fantastic pun and a great image. You know, I nearly went past this because I didn't understand the title. When I parsed it down to "Four Loaf Cleaver" it clicked. Top 20 image so far in this challenge |
