 You know those adverts: "click here to get your FREE Ipod..." and ALL you have to do is take a survey 48hrs long, and forward it to 1000 friends, who in turn forward it to 1000 friends...etc, THEN, when the whole northern hemisphere has done this: you'll be entered into a draw to win one of five ipods...

Well, this my take on it! I KNOW voting related photos don’t do well (from past experience!). But I didn’t feel it would be nearly as funny with a title like:

"click here for your free ipod"

So, I'll have the courage of my convictions, as it makes me laugh. But I know I'll get lots of ones for sheer audacity!

I thought this was a really original idea, but I did a google search and a few people have done it before, so credit to them. This is a mange tout, cut it open and got some teddy bear 'eyes'... not by ripping loads of teddy bears apart, but by going to the teddy bear eye shop...

Just used one halogen as the light source, small aperture (getting over my shallow DOF fetish) and put on timer.

Editing: Level, saturation, a little sharpening. then just cloned out some imperfections on the mange-tout. Tried a few setups, but much preferred it nice and simple and clean. If it makes a few people giggle I'll be happy, as i know my score won’t be that hot!

WAAHAY!!!

Am well happy about 5th! I've been away so i missed the result, thanks for all the kind comments.

As an aside, i submitted this to istock...it got rejected with no resubmit:

"We found the overall composition of this file's lighting could be improved. Technical aspects that can affect the overall quality of lighting are: flat/dull colors, blown-out highlights, harsh reflection, shadows or lens flares"

Outstanding picture! Great lighting and colors! Love the eyes, very creative. I think this one will ribbon, it not, at least be in the top 10. Nicely done!
