 This was taken at my backyard feeder. My family thought I was crazy sitting out in 20 degree temprature waiting for a shot. I think they were right. I used a flash that allowed me to get the catch light in its eye.

Cropped, levels, contrast, hue/saturation, usm. Hard part is being able to see the eye on this bird.

Doug, this is awesome! I can't believe it only scored 5.0! That's such a pretty little bird.

I can't tell you how many times my family has thought I was out of my mind too for the things I do to get "the shot" :) Keep up the good work!

5 - Good capture. Criticism; difficult, but sharper, less grainy (quality/camera/lens dependent of course) make this better in my opinion. Opportune though. Perhaps 'zoomed out' more, especially if you were not able to get the quality may have made this better 'as is', and also allowed more of the 'DOF' to come into play/be seen.
