I suppose that it is the waving of a magic wand which made the photograph fuzzy and not so readable

Just a picture of haphazardly arranged witchcraft accessories. Doesn't evoke phobia.

Without the title this image doesn't convey a fearful atmosphere. The soft focus and bright tone of the image conveys an almost nostalgic feeling.

Looks more like active worship/participation than a phobia to me. I don't get the "fear" feeling here, but I like the photo.

This really looks an awful mess. The blur effect you've gone for has really been spoilt by the B&W. Having blended all the points of interest and then robbed them of their distinguishing colour means its very hard to make out the story your image is telling.
