Challenge: Shallow DOF II (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Sony DSC-T33
Location: Clevedon
Date: Dec 14, 2005
Date Uploaded: Dec 14, 2005

I am really getting into sunset shots at the moment, this was classic I realised that the sunset had high possibilities so I ran frantically up a steep hill to the destination I would take the shot. The view was amazing I snapped away for the 10 minutes I had before the sun dropped out of view. Hardly any editing at all this was completely natural, not too sure how it is going to do but I like it so I thought - why not?!

Although this is a very nice capture, DOF isn't very apparent.

Can't say this is shallow dof. Beautiful picture though.

Great photo, but I don't see shallow depth of field as an aspect of this shot.

shallow dof ?

What on earth does it have to do with the theme? Nice filter, good sunset, where is the DOF?
12/23/2005 07:18:32 AM
This is a nice sunset picture. It doesn't quite stand out as utilizing shallow DOF particularly. There is a bit of blur in the very distant background but that could hardly be called shallow DOF since it is miles away. Sorry, this is one of the few I've seen so far that really doesn't seem to meet the challenge.

Unless this is an "anti" entry, defining this as shallow DOF???

thank you for your pretty diversion from the challenge.

Pretty picture, I just don't think the DOF is very shallow.

Two things: first you have a spelling error in your title which makes me think you don't care enough about your entry to spell the title correctly. Second, where is the shallow DoF in this shot? Nice sunset, but not a shot for this challenge in my opinion.

What a beautiful shot! I really wish I could figure out it's connection to THIS challenge...

Too bad you mispelled "paradise". There might be DOF in this image but it is not apparent as the challenge states. 5
