I don't expect this image to do much at all... I had intended to go out and do a "real" shoot for this (my first) challenge submission, but it just didn't happen, so going with this one capture that I got when I happened to notice that it was between the hours of 4 and 5am, and I was awake. :-)

The picture is of my 24-hour analog clock, and thus I figure is somewhat unique just because not that many folks (that I know, anyway) have 24-hour analog clocks... so, it's an analog clock that actually shows that it's 4-something _AM_, not just any 4-something.

Editing was done with open source tools... rotated slightly, and applied curves using the gimp. Everything is very repeatable (most stuff is in a Makefile, and the curves settings are saved to a file).

So, here goes nothing... my first dpchallenge submission.

looks like 11:30 to me by military time.

Nice clock, but you need to develop your photographic eye. Did you think about the texture on the wall? The shadow cast by your light source? The glare caused by the light source? All these things take away from this shot. But the main question is why would we want to look at a centered composition of a clock? What story does it tell? 'Look Ma, I met the challenge' is just not enough! Photography like this is perhaps good enough if you want to sell something on Ebay. If you want to be a photographer, look at textures, colours, composition, emotions. Tell us a story! Draw us in. Show us life.

Resembles too much like a snap shop.

A genius subject. I have always prefered the twenty-four hour clock and have had a hard time getting readjusted to the dual twelve hour system used here in the US. Brilliant. 9

Interesting and unusual clock but, to my taste, not a very interesting or unusual image. Doesn't hold my attention.

Nice clock photo, just lacks a bit of creativity.

Sorry, but doesn't that thing say that it's five minutes till 12:00? Maybe I'm wrong.

Nice clean shot that obviously meets the challenge. It does lack a bit of wow factor though.

This says 4-5am? I guess I don't understand how to read them then. Regardless, this might have benefited from something else included in the picture with the clock as an aside.

i can barey see the hour hand. This meets the challenge, but is lacking in the creativity department. I am curious as to why you did not shoot the clock straight on if you intended it to be full frame centered?
