An excellent photo with a great story. The only thing that bothers me is the extreme shiny left wall and the right edge of the cover, but I guess it was meant to be like that. I wish it was darker, or at least both walls having the same brightness. Thinking about it, I wish both walls were shining to the extreme with shadows cast in both, ideally one larger than the other... |

Greetings from the Critique Club
Fabulous image. I find that you never know what interpretation of the surroundings you'll get with blacklight, when it lights up an area. It is an exciting tool to use and you used it well with the white background.
Composition is fine and the image tells a great story. The use of grain of course adds drama and tension to the image of the terrified woman.
It's impossible to judge what our voters will see in an image. Many were stopped by it and felt moved to comment. To me, this was a high compliment to your art.
The score? Well, take it as a badge of honor.
You could win awards with this image. And I hope you do.

Great idea. I think if it had less noise it would be a better picture. |

I think there is too much noise and grain in this image for the average DCPer (thus our scores might suffer from their wrath). However, upon further review of this image, I see an incredibly powerful emotion that transcends through my screen. The look in your model's eye and the way she is hugging the pillow close to her (a protection of some sort) is a wonderful potrayal of emotions. Not quite certain though as to why this was shot in a bright white room as opposed to a dark and spooky atmosphere. I rated this image pretty high but I'm certain I will be one of a few that sees this image the way I do. Good luck. |

Love the grain in this shot. Very emotional. Pity it looks like she is wearing socks or shoes>
Good luck

Very interesting. Technically a good photo. Maybe a little too grainy, as it is hard to see the any fear in the Subject's facial expression. |

Whoa! Major grain! Might tone it down just a little. Otherwise, a really cool shot! |

I feel the noise works well with the title but the blue hue turns me off a little. Nice capture, good luck |

This works very well for me. You're gonna get murdered on grain, but of courtse you knew that :-) I like the off-note of the eerie, bluish cast in the bright areas. |

A little too much grain in this. I would think a light on her huddling in the dark would work better but it's just MHO :) |

I think more darkness it's neccesary for this picture. I like the expression. I don't like the noise. |

the grain does not add to the picture, i think it detracts - purpleish color is confusing |

Pretty cool. I like the grain here and the whole treatment makes it look like one of those spooky effects in those TLC documentaries. |

When I saw this as a thumbnail it looked wonderful. But now I think that the noise has been a bit overdone. Still a great picture though. |

The emotion in this is great. Though I would have prefered it to be overall darker to be more reminiscent of the time of day. I personally like the graininess--it gives a hint of being dark despite being light. Others may not. |
