No matter what focal length your lens is the ideal settings on your camera for lunar photography is:
ISO 100
F/8.0
1/250 sec
(If you can set these on what your using of course)
With the focus being on the moon of course, Nice capture none the less of this early evening moon :0) |

| I only wonder of the red of the moon is an effect of the approaching sun. I am impressed with the choice of the moon off center. A better composition would be hard to come by. 9 |

| Very difficult subject with a conventional lens. If you don't have access to a telescope, but are shooting with a DSLR, try putting a teleconverter between your lens and your camera. To my taste, it either needs to be razor sharp, or the frame needs to include something of interest so the moon is only adding context. |
