I WAS driving when I took this shot. I really DO have to be at work at 5 AM, and I really took this at 4:42 am. Not on the way to a club to party as someone insinuated. I dont really understand where that came from , but I guess its all left to interpretation right. that might be where you life and priorities are right now.
I loved the blur and the fact that you cannot make out what each of the streaks came from. I think those objects being in focus would detract away fromthe point of the shot, which was driving fast to get to work. A blur of motion.
As for the shaking, my shocks are shot due to the neverending construction along I-40 and the constant hitof potholes int he road. this was one of many shots this being the least busy that fit within what I was trying to say.
the dashboard WAS included in the original shot but it was brighter thant he rest of the photo, and shook too much, it was not conduscive the the rest of the photo.
I had this awesome idea for a city scape picture to be done , but my kid lost the mount to my tripod and the shot couldnt be steadied....or it was too foggy, tried the shot every day till the last possible day, then itoccured to photograph what I do everyday at that time....try to make it to work ontime.
thanks for the comments |

I really hope that my perspective is off and you weren't driving when you took this |

ok, i scored this a 6 the first time through and i'll leave it at that. now that i'm spending a bit more time with it, i think this needs a lot of work. nothing's in focus the colors aren't that great. the composition of the lines are what does work. i like this type of shot, and do hope you'll go back and practice this some more. |

These can be really tough pictures to get right, but this one is excellent. There's plenty going on, the colours are great and the noise is well controlled. 8 |

"im gonna be late for work" you mean your gonna be late for the club.... although i know you took and abstract shot where open your shutter speed is open for a while. your shot should still be sharp.... the streaks should be visible and clear....
i dont really see the 4-5 a.m shot in this photograph... and im sorry if i said anything bad or hurtfull im just trying to make you better with my word of thought |

The shaking and blurring is exactly how I feel at that time. It adds effect. |

Great attempt but it is not completely in focus |

I think your title should've been something like "early morning rush to a place i loathe too much: five days a week, fifty weeks a year, work work work"
i wish it weren't grainy, you ought to have experimented more with driving shots. they turn out well if you put the dash in frame, and you time the shot for when a car's passing you or some such thing. |

Did you really take this between 4:00 A.M. and 5:00 A.M.? |

Nothing in focus and everything blurred. Could be any time at night. |

I like this, since that's what you apparently do between 4 & 5 a.m.! :) |

The title makes all the difference on this one. :-) |

I like motion blur, but there's too much camera shake here... there's also too much noise for my taste |

Blurry moving vechical shots are not that visually interesting or appealing. This is no exception, sorry. |
