It was never my intention to get myself reflected in the ball, (I was dressed up for another idea) but I think it adds to the photo. I didn't refer in the title to this reflection, to check if you guys notice it ;)

after the RAW-editing this is what I did:

levels (make the almost white background totally white)
USM
crop
adjusting the ball & some of the chain

the ball was actually a pain in the ass. my whole attic was on it, so I had to decide to leave myself and the light-reflection in the ball, but make the rest of it black, like most of the reflection used to be.

This photo is a dedication to a good friend of mine who passed away last week. Will always love you C.!

Nice shot. Like the reflection. Think I would have liked it better in color.

The lighting is slightly uneven (bright spots on the hand) but overall I really like this shot. Well done.

Very nice. The square crop and composition works well. Nice lighting.
I think I would rather see this in color but it does say catalog to me.

The reflection is very cool! Are the beads at the bottom slightly out of focus? Seems like there's a bit of blur there. I'd also really like to see this in color. The B&W just seems to be lacking something, I'm not sure why. Maybe I just think of the holidays as being in color. :)

Nice pic, but I think it would have fit the challenge in better in color. Not as festive this way.

Wouldn't expect to see many bw photos in a catalog. Your picture is wonderful though! For this challenge I would have rather seen it in color...the reflection of the woman in the christmas ball is neat too!
