Challenge: Candlelight (Advanced Editing IV)
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM
Location: Reykjavík
Date: Dec 9, 2005
Aperture: F/32
ISO: 100
Shutter: 30 sec.
Galleries: Emotive, Still Life
Date Uploaded: Dec 9, 2005

Used 2 candles, one behind to get the lighting on the shell and one at the front to get lighting on the subject. Very difficult to get this good.
Used then auto levels, curves, desaturation and USM. Burn and dodge here and there.

interesting use of candle light - looks to be either out of focus a tad or else soft

I think I would have gone a touch "warmer" with the tones, because this doesn't appear candlelight. Since I'm not a DNMC enforcer, that's okay. I bet it does score lower than it should. 7

I do not see the candlelight.

At first I voted this a 2. I could not see any candlelight here and a lot of, basically, unfocused material. But because I 'think" I see what may be a flame in the actual base of teh shot (that little blue light), or maybe the wick...LOL.not sure, I am going to bump it up one notch for that. It's a pretty thing, but the shot just lacks for me.

Beautiful decorations but does not bring anything to the level light
