But the composition on this is awesome! And the beautiful little model looks so comfortable in front of the camera -- which I'm sure is a tribute to you. I missed voting on this one in the challenge, but I promise you I would have voted it higher than 4!

Thanks for the comments. Most of them were quite helpful. I am learning and every comment only makes things better. I had other photos I had thoughts on entering, and should have. I liked the cuteness this one portrayed, but knew technically...it stunk. I think my next entry will be much better, the DoF challenge.

The low contrast approach works great here, but it's just a bit too low. At least the blacks should be black.

Pretty girl. Nice composition, but IMO the image is a little bit "washed". Maybe you can achieve a most contrasted image using levels. Keep shooting.

Nice composition. It would be better to include a candle in it. Something is wrong with this photo technically - too soft, pale colors. Probably - camera limitations?...5

Nice soft focus shot !! I like the way my view is drawn to the eyes and lips.

This is lacking contrast and I do not see the candles :) There is an overall green cast here too.

very cute and well posed !!!, I just would like to see this with a bit more contrast and maybe a tiny tiny bit of dodging/burning to bring out the textures. right now the colors are very washed out. Sometimes its a good idea to have black blacks and white whites. Good luck ;)

This image is a little dark and blurry, but that happens in low light.

Nice pose by the child. Could have done with using more candles for the lighting as its a bit too dark on my monitor. Also its a bit too soft in the focus.

A little bit flat for my taste.

I like the softness of this image and it could be a romantic aged portrait painting of a top artist.

Would have looked much with levels...

I dont like the greeish tint that this picture has, its muting all the colors. The focus seems a bit soft as well
