I really thought this was clearly the best one to meet the challenge specifics. The "suspense" of what mayb have happened is clear in this image. Anticipation is key I think. I just read your setup and it's quite inventive. I have to try it when I get a dSLR :)
BTW, your title is great. It's the "icing on the cake". Your image speaks for itself on it's own. That in itself is a great accomplishment.

| Beautiful effect in the movement of the hammer. The red of the handle contrasts well with the bottom. The lamp too is apart from the scene. |
