Hello everybody! This challenge was very hard for me to think of, but then I thought of a plant and how it wilts and turns brown when it dies. I sharpened and cropped the picture. I desaturated all the main colors except for red. This picture was taken at my school at around noonish. So, I hope you like my photo.

A bit far fetched. The picture does nothing to me. Sorry.

Great idea. The almost monochromatic color lends to the sadness for the plant. It really is wasted. One of the best ideas for the subject matter

This has a strong sense, and not just from the title, of a child's shot. It has a bland kind of naivete about it - not to mention the absolutely contradictory near-greying out of the greens mentioned in the title. Compositionally it just a bit too weak for me to think it was deliberately done - the neat angles of the lawn are too far out of frame, the light is poor on the water so that it takes a few moments to register it. As to meeting the challenge -

I think this shot might have been better if the plant seemed more dead than the surroundings.

nice shot, the grey grass really adds to the power of the shot.

Nice idea, too bad the background is not attractive. For once I'd recommend a lot less DOF.

This shot just lacks energy, mostly because of the background and the lack of saturation
