battled with myself over which of two similar versions to use - perhaps both of them were the wrong choice...

focal length 50.0mm

post-challenge: I didn't look at my score all week, and the end result is worse than I expected - though I realized at the time that I might have been being a bit too self-indulgent with this one. Seems I was.

I do like the feel of this one (thanks Keith), but I think I should probably try to rein it in a bit and see if I can churn out stuff more attractive to the average voter. One must stay true to oneself, to be sure, but this is a contest, right?

A very interesting visual that pulls the eye and holds it. May not be grasped in one stare and certainly too artistic for a voting crowd that devotes less than 15-30 seconds per image.

Oh my God! This photo is very under-rated IMO! I think it's got a great feel to it.

I looked stasis up and this doesn't convey that greatly. The tones and composition are OK but also there is a bit too much out of focus for me even though I can see it is intentional. You do have a creative streak and you will go a long way here.

Interesting idea, and I like it's abstraction. The shadows and highlights are a little distracting to me though.

I have no idea what you are trying to do here. There is to much chaos here, no focus or structure.

It's definately a fork, but I can't make out anything else. Is that a spoon under it? I like the color of the photo, definately mysterious. DOF seems very narrow and I can't find anything in that narrow area that really draws my attention and holds it. The only thing that I really see in focus are some wrinkles on the floor surface. I wish I could make this out, the effect is neat, maybe it's suposed to be abstract? still cool coloring whatever it is. ~Heather~
